Tips if free flighting smaller birds like conures

I have a nanday conure who isn’t harness trained but in the process and a baby sun conure who’s harness trained. Thank god they’re super loud so I can hear them and my suns very colorful so I can also see her, but I don’t know where to start on free flight. I would love to have them fly in the open skies one day but other than recal I don’t know where to start or what to do. I had a Quaker who was perfect in recall but I wouldn’t trust her to free fly for some reason.
