My goodness...to pass some time this morning, while trying to get my kids on their "wake up early for school" schedule...which starts next week...I found this video. I've never heard of this guy, but watch what he does with this Too!

love it. Merlin lets me throw him around from hand to hand upside down.... not quite a cockatoo, but owell ^^

Whoa! Really? Go Merlin! :D

That's the first time I've seen anyone do something like that with a bird! I think my Franklin would be a willing participant after the first "heart failure" toss. hahahhaha!

as for the nut, revenge would be forth coming if i tried anything like that!! though she does hang off us lookin all content lol, makin little baby chirps!

I enjoy Rod's work. His book is very interesting and informative.

I am friends with him through Facebook...he is a very nice guy and incredibly passionate about birds and his work with them.

Wow! that was amazing! This is the first time I have heard of this guy! I want his book, I would love to go and watch him!

Apparently his book is only available on Kindle or on-line not in actual "book" form.
That is very disappointing.
I still enjoy handling & reading & taking with me books.

Awesome! I'm going to watch all his videos! I'd love to do that with Puck!

I stumbled upon his videos a few months ago and ended up watching all of them lol. I used to be able do that with my goffin though, I never liked to toss her too high though because I didn't really trust my own coordination that much. :) She would also let me pick her up by her beak, with my thumb and index finger on either side of her beak and I could pick her up gently by the very base of her tail and she would just hang there :) I wish I had some video of it now :(

Kerry, and who ever else is interested...

I got an email from Rod this afternoon.

A hard copy version of his book is available at www.birdplanettv.com/InsideTheBook.html

Click the orange paperback button on the lower right of the screen.

Isn't that the truth about books? Something about the feel and even smell of the pages that's just great!

I couldn't agree more!!!

I am a very tactile person...I read A LOT and I truly enjoy having an actual book in my hands...I have NO USE for eBooks.
