Green cheek conure - Sydney (Syd) Hatched 2/2017
After a health scare that put me as an emergency arrival at hospital it has put my mind into focus on providing for Syd's future safety. While I have been away my daughter did a fab job of seeing he was ok while doing all those things for me that are needed at such times, but I know it was not a love affair for her.

Now that I am home his little trusting face makes me think that I should make plans now. So UK members - any advice/help would be very welcome as to the best way. Obviously I am not keen to just advertise him and let anyone adopt him.

There a quite a few UK-based people here, but the first one that popped into mind was maybe ask LordTriggs?
(birdfree atm, so no issues about fitting in with the other parrots)

I have a few familymembers on your side of the Channel, not really birdpeople but always ready to help out. (Most are in the south-west though, not sure if that is any help to you.)

I'm just bumping this up to see if there is any further help/advice out there.

Oh, wow, what a difficult decision and pursuit. I have you and Syd in my heart. And I'll help you bump this thread every chance I get.

oh wow, didn't see this thread! It's so nice that I was thought of immediately. Will let everyone know what happens when/if decisions are made

Ooh how exciting! I thought of you straight away too but didn’t dare hope ...

:) any word...?

Lord Triggs and I have been in contact. There is no rush and no doubt as/if things progress we will share. Be patient - it must be right for both Lord Triggs and Syd - it takes time for babies to be adopted.

Yes- I agree completely- I just wanted to make sure that things were still okay and that you/the birds were doing alright etc. It is always worrisome to hear that someone is facing a re-homing situation. It is worse when it has to be done quickly. Glad you are taking your time and that you have some options :)

Very sorry to hear you've had health issues, hope you are doing well.

So kind to have Syd's best interests at heart. Would be wonderful to see him remain in the forum "family" with Lord Triggs!
