Umbrella Too- "Bables" ?

If you look through my posts, you'll find a video about Cory, my corella... He entertains himself and me, while playing on the floor...

Hi Lene, I scrolled through your pages but must have missed it. Can you post the link ?

I had a parakeet as a child and then my Rosie as an adult. She is a Timneh grey and the best bird I could ever want. She is sweet, talks, sings, whistles, plays well by herself, loves to eat healthy foods and get her head scratched. Good luck with your decision of which bird. People with experience have advised you which is a good thing. I would listen to them.

Just because you get a Too at weaning age doesnt mean that you will prevent emotional problems. Toos are more prone to emotional problems than other birds. Rome was in a fabulous home (with the exception of her being over spoiled) before me. They had her for 14years. Her previous home had a conure that Rome really liked, he died in an accident. Thats when Rome's shredding started, it had nothing to do with neglect, diet, etc. I have also heard of Toos doing the same when other household pets die as well (I met someone whos Too was way over attached to thier dog, when the dog passed the Too started plucking). Anything can trigger shredding/plucking behavior in a Too that is kept in captivity - even if it is and always has been in the 'ideal' environment.

Like I just said on your post, how adorable is Cory !
I loved how he tucks & rolls !!!

Dixie our LSC too entertains herself quite nicely. But Java prefers to be on me when he's out. But entertains himself in his cage nicely too playing with baby toys that he drags everywhere....lol....
