I have a cocktail parrot named Patrick. I’ve had them about two years now recently. we went out of country so we sent him to our relatives to look after and the weather there was really hot. When he came back. I started noticing one of his eye the left one started to turn pink, so previously my birds have had conjunctivitis, and I believe that it was conjunctivitis and I started using poly fix on his eye and it worked, but about two days ago I’ve noticed the eye has been getting pinker.

Patrick lost one of his wings to a fan about a year ago, and I noticed that for the past six months, his feathers have not been shedding as in he has tiny white feathers on his body. His weight has dramatically dropped since I last came, and his feathers are always shivering.

Please take Patrick to an avian vet. He's obviously not well. His weigh5 loss is a big concern and needs to have his eye looked at.
What are you feeding him? Isn't he eating?
When you say he lost his wing, do you mean he lost the feathers or the wing itself?

We haven’t got an avian vet here. He is eating normal and that is his seeds he doesn’t eat fruits at all I have tried leaving tiny pieces in his food but he just filters them out . He lost his entire wing. Should I grind some fruits and give it to him via a syringe ?? I did leave a calcium block in his cage he didn’t touch it at all the other bird just finished it all

Can't you find any vet that sees other small animals for his eye? They can prescribe something. Your poor bird is suffering.

Is he only eating seeds? Try feeding him some cooked rice. Try sprouting his seeds. Sprouts have more nutrition.
How much does he weigh?
I can't believe he survived having his wing ripped off! Did you get any vet care for him then?

None of us are really qualified to give medical advice.

The vet that I’d do used to go kinds wasn’t qualified at all cause one my birds was in horrible condition he sent home saying she is fine and then she passed away. I will the cooked rice thing for sure thanks. No we didn’t to a vet after his wing got ripped I took care of him and he is a pretty strong bird and he was feeling better in a week it healed really well. Thanks

How much does he weigh? You need to consider the missing wing weighs several grams.
I would still try a vet for his eye. What you're using isn't working.

I will weight him and let you know he is sleeping right now. He routine is pretty normal he talks and everything but the eye is getting worse. I did get verdict on the eye I will get the med soon and I am tryna find a vet.
