This morning my Alex was not his usual self all bubblely talking and excited to do his routine tricks. He just sits very uncooperative he never used to allow me to touch him, this morning I could stroke his head and body.. and he just sits 😳. This is not my parrot. He does listen to step up and wanted cuddles which was VERY usual. Because he hates it. Like he woke up depressed or sick ..
I'm not sure if something is wrong or do Alexanderines go through a depressed stage. He's 6 months.

I'm very sorry to hear your Alex doesn't appear to be himself today. I went through something similar with my princess parrot, Peachie, about 6 months ago when she was 6 months old too. She was very down and just not her chirpy "Peachie" self, so I had her vet examine her and run blood tests, turned out she had a bacterial infection. Honestly if this is a new(ish) bird and you haven't had him checked for wellness by an avian vet as yet, that's what I'd be doing. I'm not sure where in the world you're located or if you already have an avian specialist that you see, and I do understand that bird vets are sometimes hard to find or get an appointment with, but the link below may help you find one if you don't already have one....

At the very least, if he passes examination with a clean bill of health then it's worth doing because that will give you peace of mind. Birds are sadly all too good at masking illness sometimes though, so if these symptoms that you're seeing are enough to concern you the way they are I think at least putting in a call to an avian vet and telling them what you're seeing would be your best bet. 💝

Thank you it could be something he ate yesterday and he was chirpy and vocal and loud he's usual self yesterday and woke up with a completely opposite bird. I'll monitor him for day or 2 if he doesn't seem right I'll find a vet.
