I know this is way off topic but this is the blog I trust the most. It also has fast replies. If you buy Xbox Live. Can you only play online on one profile? It is confusing If My family was to buy online for our xbox. And I was the person that played online first can my brothers play online on there profiles or is it just mine that has online??? I really need an answer.:):greenyellow:

I use to have an xbox and i switched to a ps3 because of better games and you can play online for FREE and with ps3 everybody in your family can play for FREE but i believe the online for xbox is just for one username only because you have to redeem it under the name that you want to play online with

Okay thankyou. That helps.

I don't have an xbox, also a PS3 guy, but a buddy of mine has a 360 and the XBox live account is indeed tied to a single profie, so for each profile you have that you want online you will need a separate Live subscription. Some games allow two (or more) players to participate in the game online from the single console but only paid profiles get saved accomplishments, tropheys, etc.

I don't know a whole heap about xbox vs ps3
we have a ps and brother in law has xbox

He has to pay to use xbox online vs ps which is free online
ps has a lesser download rate than xbox meaning 10gb broadband will get you more playtime online before your Internet gets to it's usage limit
over the 2-3yrs we have had the machines ps has never had any problems xbox has Bern repaired over 3x with motherboard issues

If it's value for money I suggest a ps3

We have just got an Xbox.

I die in about 2 seconds on this new Call of Duty Black Ops thing.....I think I will leave the gold subscription thingy to hubby who can last slightly (though not much) longer! ^.^

We have both, Xbox 360 and PS3. My boys play Fable III on Xbox and they both play on Xbox Live and each play on their own profile (I just asked to make sure...I'm a terrible video game player). And we only have 1 Xbox Live account for that machine.

Sad thing is, the PS3 is the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market.

There are cheaper blu ray players but the quality of the picture sucks
