What words & sounds?

Hi everyone. I'm just curious what words/sounds your bird makes?
Larry said 'hello' a couple of times the other day. This is after only a few weeks of repeating the word to him. It was in a small gravelly voice but fairly distinct. Being a normal green cheek I know he will never be a very proficient talker but I'm hoping he will learn at least a few more words.
I consider myself lucky that he doesn't sound like the vacuum hahahahah

Ducati doesn't know any words yet. It did sound like he imitated the dog's squeaky toy yesterday though lol.

Phlox says 'pretty bird' though she whispers it and sounds like a tiny robot chicken.

I could have sworn Iris said 'hello' this morning, but she wouldn't repeat it when I was looking.

My Griffin the Ruppell's Parrot isn't a talker yet, and I don't know if he will be. He should eventually talk since he's a male Poicephalus, but if they are talkers it does seem like they start pretty early, so who knows if he will, but I love his cute little squeaks and peeps and chirps!

Raven BW Pionus says Hi, (used to say) hello, Raven, Ray Ray, Good Boy, says the other bird's names, and mimics an annoying cough (funny high pitch - no one here coughs quite like that I promise haha). Only that stuff on a regular basis, but he will occasionally say some other things.

Robin, Red Bellied Parrot says I love you, What are you doing?, Hey!, Good Boy, Hi, I'm Robin (or Robbie), and very occasionally several other things. He even uses some words in context (as they often do when they're older and have been around long enough). Mainly he prefers to mimic sounds more than talking. He has collected a pretty impressive repertoire of household noises over the years. My favorite has got to be the "coach whistle" but very low volume lol it's very cute. His newest noise is a squeaky door. I need to get the WD-40 out :52:

Hahahah Ravensgryf (WD-40) I think I would use a small tin of 3-in-One oil instead, at least it won't sound like a spray can, of course it won't prevent rust

Right now I keep saying "pretty bird" to him. And I put either Doctor Who or Supernatural on for him when I leave in the morning. Hoping he'll start making the TARDIS or sonic screwdriver noises. Just realized that Supernatural might not be good since he would probably end up learning
the b word or jerk lol. When we say pretty bird he gets all fluffy and squeaks, so I think he understands it. Any tips on teaching him how to say it?

Yeah, Cookie is a normal Green Cheek. She started learning words not long after I brought her home at five months old. She is four now and she doesn't really learn new words anymore. They don't learn things as easily when they turn one year old, so if Larry is less than a year old he will probably learn new words pretty easily while he is young.

I had a rehome cockatiel named Pep Bird that could mimic a squeaky rocking chair that I had on the back porch. He was a talker too, but he apparently spoke Russian, and I never knew what he said.

Louise my BFA says hello and whistles. She mumbles a lot-especially when I'm reading to her. She's a laid back bird and is not really motivated to speak, but she will pick up a toy and put it where I tell her for a food reward.

Barney the DYH speaks English in three different voices. She has the bright chirpy English accent, a deep man's voice, and recently has started speaking in what I can only describe as an old lady's voice. She also has started making the sound of running water, and the sound of a cracking whip. (I'm working with a horse who bites and is promptly punished with a 'bat'-a harmless whip that makes loud slapping noise when used.) She's made a few customers jump in suprise upon hearing the crack of the whip. Which of course is the reason why she does it. She's a diva and the world better be paying attention to HER and only HER!

Django says his name. He also says "don't bite". Often while he's biting me. He also laughs when I laugh. That's pretty cute

No tips really, just repeating the word. Try to use the same voice inflections each time, distinctly.

He has learned new things (in the past few years) primarily when exposed to new people and or environments I noticed. The squeaky door was in the past month, and he learned Raven and Griffin's names pretty quickly after they moved in!

Chico says "hello, hi, hi" all the time as soon as I get him out of his cage or whenever he sees the phone. He says "want cracker", "what's a matter", "be quiet" ,"whaaaaat" and a couple things we can't understand yet but sounds a little like he's swearing... lol. He said all of this before we got him and I haven't tried much to teach him new words yet. He's 5 years old and we've had him 2 months.

Sassy, says "Hello" "How are you....good" "I love you" "I love you good girl" "who's a good girl" "Whaaaaat" "I good" "Thank you" and she sings an opera song. She also talks in a strange deep voice that sounds like she's repeating a telephone conversation. She does the wolf whistle and makes an alarm sound. Oh, and she barks like a chihuahua whenever my dogs bark (previous owner had 5 of them).

Loco has started to imitate the sounds of different words.. i always say "hi baby" to him and he started making the sounds of the individual syllables (i hope this makes sense) when i tell family and friends he says hi baby, they think hes saying the actual words (which im sure he will, hes still a baby, hes 5 months old).. he also says "what" when i call his name if hes yelling too loud lol. even though hes not saying the actual word, the fact that hes imitating sounds makes me happy lol

Ok. That's what I've been doing. I'll keep at it. He still "talks" alot for not knowing any words

I still don't agree! (that's good news)... Robin during his teens and now 20, will still learn after hearing something literally a couple times if he likes the sound of it! Maybe not all birds are like that though. My mom's bird is more like Cookie in that regard. They're all different.

Jellybean says "JellyBean" very distinctly... specially when he wants attention! He also says "Baby... baby ... baby" or "Tara's baby" because that is what I call him... he laughs when I laugh.. which is funny... sometimes when he is all snuggly near my ear he will say "love you" and my heart just melts...

Slater, my OWA, has 2 very different voices. In a high pitched little girl voice he screams "Help me! Help me!" right after that, in a low voice that sounds like it came from the Exorcist, he screams "LET ME OUT!".

Ekko, the ekkie can sing the chorus from the movie Oliver & Co., and he says Hey, Hello, Come here, step up, Bad Bird Slater, he can count to 5, Love you, Don't do that, and peekaboo among other things. Xander, the Alex says come here, Step up Ekko, pretty pretty bird, what, peekaboo and hello. Talli the BHP says Hey, Hello, step up, pretty bird, pretty boy. They all say what are you doing and how are you, as well as each others names. They pick up so much from each other.
