Parrots
Sun conure and Yellow sided green cheek
There's this house I pass every morning on my run, with an eclectus parrot, sometime its cage is on the front verandah and I'm not exactly sure which specfic kind of eclectus it is, but I know it's a male because it is green, well actually was green. This morning when I went for my run, it was out on the verendah and I hadn't seen it for a few weeks because I had been swimming in the morning and running at night anyway, its yellow, well stomach feathers at least. does anyone know why that happens

Could be liver disease, or malnutrition, or some other problem. Its unlikely to be a mutation if it was green before.

It is more than likely diet related. Gomez has a couple of yellow feathers on his back from eating all seed in his previous home. While they are pretty I am looking forward to him molting them out since he is now on the correct diet.

I agree that it sounds like a dietary issue. An unusual sign of poor diet, specifically dietary-caused liver disease, in parrots is unnatural changes in their father colors.

Diet, health, medications, plucking.....

Are you able to snap a picture? If you place an get a picture to post on here would be quite helpful!
