Help please emergency!!!!:(

So I have consulted a vet already had my peach front conure go to his vet. He escaped from the house and got attacked by some sort of animal. We took him to the ER and the transferred him to an exotic vet. He stayed there for 4 days. Now he's home on 4 different oral medications. The first 2 days he was fine buy on the third day he had bubbles/foamish kind of this coming out of his eye. It stopped after 10 minutes. I can't call the vet now because its 12:31 and its late. Also one of his nasal cavities(I spaced out I'm not sure if that's the right word one of his nose hole sorry) is clogged and it looks like its dried up blood. Can I do anything now to clear up a little just until I can reach call the vets office. Oh and the injuries are on the left side of his cheek near the beak and on his forehead he has a hole that is healing up. Please some help ASAP. :green1:

If he can breath at all I would do nothing at this time. At the most may be wipe vary softy over the nostrils with a damp qtip. You do not want to pick a scab, it could bleed. Other then that stay calm. If your upset so is your bird.
Most vets do have a answering service call them if you feel like you need to.

10 freaking views and no one bothers to help!!!

I would drive to the nearest clinic myself but I'm underage. My parents wouldn't want to drive in the middle of the night for him. Please someone help. Is there any way I can clear up the dry blood a little bit so he can have an easier to breathing. It's just his left nostril the other one is clear. Please!!!

If he is not having difficulty breathing( mouth open tail pumping )?. I say leave a message for the vet.. If you can wipe his snares with a damp napkin without upsetting him.. Do so... But what he needs most it to stay warm and stress free...

Alright thanks guys for helping. Sorry for my little melt done there. Greenwing yeah his tail is plumbing, mouth opening. I took a damp q-tip I tried wiping done a little bit without hurting and it cleared up a tiny bit. He's not breathing as loudly and as often as before so it helped out a little bit. Thank you again guys I really appreciate it.

Great.... Try to keep his snares open.. If you can do it without stressing him out.. (you do not want open mouth breathing or tail pumping)..Also try to Keep him warm.. (80-85*F) would be ideal..

Greenwing there is not open mouth breathing. They was tail pumping when I was gently cleaning the blood away. Should I keep trying in the morning? Because he's sleeping. I'll wake up extra early to wipe done a little more blood before I go to school.

If he is sleeping and his breathing is better ..I would let him sleep... Just keep an eye on it..

All the advice you've gotten here is right and I'm pretty sure the eye bubbles may from the blood clogged nare, instead of being able to come out of his nare/nose, the air came out around his eye & the bubbles were most likely the moisture that is always present around organs...the rattling or noisy breathing is probably caused by the dried blood/scab also, as is the open beak.....just like us when we are stuffed up.....

I wouldn't worry too much about how many views a particular post has, because there are any number of robots that do nothing but look at websites for changes/updates/new posts and there are people who look at a particular post but who know nothing about the problem or have an answer to a particular question.....

If the dried blood is still in the nare, the vet might suction it out, like mothers do when babies get mucous in their noses.....

I'm sorry that your little guy has you so worried, but if he's breathing better, I think he's got a pretty good chance of recovery with your help.....

Yeah sorry about the post thing. I was just really worried. This the first time I've ever had a bird with this problem. Thanks for the advice everyone. It was really helpful he's doing a better.

I just got up and read this post. I am so sorry this has happened to your feathered friend!!

you need to keep him warm, provide a heat lamp, heated perch, or a heating pad on low, if he's on the bottom of the cage. birds use extreme amounts of energy when they are ill or injured, to maintain body heat. You can help him with providing this.
He can then use his energy on getting better.
Is he eating anything, or drinking??

I believe all has stated has been right, but i must advise you on something in a situation like this you must stay calm for the animals sake. If you want him to be better getting all stressed and worked up will not help, I posted last night about a macaw of mine breaking her beak and how i had to cauterize it, you must stay calm or baby may not have been here today.

I agree with weco if his nares were clogged then the sinus system can lead to your eyes and the pressure could have caused bubbling. As well only one side of the birds nares was clogged correct? so if so i believe he has a good chance right now at recovery as well as long as breathing is doing good and he isnt getting to stressed... sorry i couldnt have posted early it would have been arund 1-2 in the morning for me.

He has a rope perch that he's on all the time. A d natural wood perch. They're both new I didn't want to use his old one in any awe it had something g that could make him ill. He eats and drinks like he normally would. I have planet over his cage with one side opened. And during the night I bring his cage to my room cause it gets cold in the living room. And his poop is ok. I notice he is starting tail plumbing.
