This has happened 5 times today. Well, Kirby has been regurgitating on his favorite perch a little like always but I also found something else. There was a big, what looked exactly like regurgitation on the cage floor. He never regurgitates on the floor though so I was a little worried. I come back later and there are 2 more big ones. And just a sec ago I found 2 tiny ones.

How could I tell if it was vomit or not? He only does it when I leave so I couldn't see whether it was vomit or regurgitation. I was thinking maybe he did it on the side of his perch or bars and it slipped onto the ground but I also read that sometimes vomit goes straight down. If it was vomit would it look exactly like regurgitation and would his feathers be dirty?

It could be likely that the regurgitation just slipped onto the floor. I think the only way you could tell right now(unless you spied on him), would be if his feathers around his mouth are dirty. If they are, it's probably vomit.

I would take Kirby to the vet to have an exam and some tests done. At least a blood panel to start. Hard for us to say over the internet :).
That sounds like a lot of times for him to just be regurgitating to a toy or something (when you're not around).

Has he done this before? The vet will want to know, and how frequently it occurs. Good luck with little Kirby.
