BUt it would also depend on YOUR experience with large birds, which I'm guessing is nill. If an experienced bird person then it can be done with time and patience. But if no experience then I think you would be biting off more than you can chew.
Most breeder birds are wild or VERY unsocialized. Yep, I would be the same way (unhappy) if someone stuck me in a cage outside with another bird and that is all I will ever know.
But I would really hate to see a well socialized or pet bird go to being used as a breeder. I tried that once years ago when I was young and stupid. It took a sweet ultra-tame bird and turned her into a an aggressive wanted to rip my hand off every time I put my hand in the cage bird.
