I recently got a blue and gold macaw in over the Christmas. Love him but very aggressive. Any suggestions on how to tame an aggressive bird?

Do you know his history? Some more information to go off would be great

Yes, more details would help quite a bit. Both history and the specifics of his current behavior.
-Is he always aggressive, or does he seem to have a trigger?
-Does he try to bite everyone, or just a particular person?
-Or does he perhaps attack everyone but a particular person?
-Does he only attack near his cage?
-How old is he?
-Have you been able to handle him at all at this point?
-Was he formerly hand tame?

We got him from a pet store in Davie Florida.
When we got him he took a few days to warm up to us. He seemed a little aggressive but figured it was new environment. He warmed up to me first I can touch him pet him play with him n then other times he lunges at me. Now Mo is very aggressive towards my fiancé and will only allow him to rub him if I'm near by. He doesn't want to stay in the cage or On top of it he jus wants to walk around on the floor.

He attacks where ever he can. Near the cage outside the cage away from the cage. Not sure his age they said 5 months when we got him in December but. I'm not sure if they just told us that.

Are his eyes white or grey/black? Grey eyes are a young bird. White eyes he is an older bird.

Macaws lunge. They test you with their lunges. When a macaw lunges at me I lunge back.

If he was five months in December he may not be fully weaned and may be hungry.

Check out the Macaw forum. A lot of great information there and eventually someone will come along that can give you better answers than I have.

Do you have pictures of him?
