Beet greens are great for birds! here's some info i found online about beet greens and how to serve them "Beet greens are dark green rough leaves with a red stalk and a cabbage flavor. Look for crisp, green or reddish-green leaves. For maximum nutritional value, buy beet greens with the beets still attached. Parrots will eat shredded beets as well as the greens, especially if combined with a favorite food such as corn. Beet greens contain potassium, magnesium, iodine and iron. They are a good source of calcium, fiber and the antioxidant vitamins A & C. Medicinal benefits: Useful as blood building agent and as a mineral supplement. Iodine content is valuable for parrots diagnosed with underactive thyroid."
good luck :)

i hang beet greens in the center of Ruby's cage using a millet holder. my holder is a long spiral of plexi glass material, so I simply wrap the greens around the spiral. She enjoys the challenge of ripping the greens from the holder while she eats them. Since I hang in center of her cage, no splatter mess to contend with.
