Cody-Blu, female Blue-Crowned Conure, Hatched - (approx) June 1, 2014, in a South Florida tree.
Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
I'll try to keep it brief. Am trying to figure out if I should take Pritti home today or leave him with family.
--For past month Pritti and I have been staying with nearby family
--I want to take him home today, but he has to go back there in 12 days when I will unavoidably be away for about two weeks.
--3 days ago I moved back home and have been getting things in order ther to bring him home too. I go over to visit him daily. He seems to like his new temporary cage filled with toys. His in the same exact spot as when we shared a room while i was there with him for the month. He is getting along great with family and even getting on one person'a hand and snuggling with her. He's eating fine. They keep him company by watching tv with him or reading in room or talking and playing with him. He is in front of nice window and can hear birds outside in trees.
--I want his stress to stay at lowest possible under the circumstances. If he comes home, he'll have his usual big cage but will be in a different room than for past 10 years because we are selling house and changed things around so he won't be in middle of everything when it is being shown.
What r your thoughts?
I even don't know if it a good thing that I keep visiting daily and then leaving. Maybe I should just stay away and leave him be for next 3-4 weeks. I'd miss him terribly, but I want what is best for him.
Thanks.
Wanna.
