So much for a green cheek, it looks like I have a black-capped conure! He stopped bathing himself when I left the room to grab my phone and this was the look he gave me when I took a picture of his spiky head. Gotta say, it's one of my new favorites.

Well! I am stunned at your diva-irreverence (although grateful for the beautiful closeup). As for the full crop... well... it is the great equalizer, isn't it? That which is human is quickly judged and rendered.

This is a JustForFun post. It's a wild Rickeybird chick in Patagonia... an Alamy stock photo, so I don't know anything about the circumstances. I just fell in love with this juvenile-dark-eyed, dreamy-faced little chick. The gaze is so helpless, so clueless, so... deep and fathomless and... hopeful? Well, *I* hope the world showed it some good things.
