Mocha was jumping back and forth between the fridge and the cabinet.

I use a Nikon D80. I pre-focus (auto focus), then set to manual focus. As soon as Mocha jumps I snap.

Mocha is a hill mynah one of the best talking birds. His clarity of speech is almost human like.

Nice captures, Erithacus!

when I was a kid, I always loved hearing the mynah at the local pet store (it wasn't for sale) talk. But I have to ask...are they cuddly at all, head scratches and what not? I thought mynahs are closely related to the crows? I have heard even starlings who can talk surprisingly well, and who make good, friendly pets...but are not very cuddly.

Hill Mynahs make good pets but they are not cuddly. They can be closely bonded to their owners. Mine allows me to pet but I have to start slowly. If he got startled I'd get pecked.
