My new Amazon Kiwi (and previous deliberation)

I let Kiwi out of the cage, and made him step up the first time.. got bitten a few times, but helped him get to the top of the cage, and he stayed there for almost an hour. he flew back onto the floor after, so I sat next to him.. he walked to me!! does it mean he likes me? I was able to pet him when he was out of the cage. and he was walking around exploring.. then I helped him get back into his cage, he's been on the swing looking happy since then.. he didn't play any toys yesterday and didn't eat.. he eats and plays with the toys today! I'm so happy. I hope I didn't scare him and lose his trust when making him step up..
