Hi everyone,

Please can someone have a look at my babies feathers and tell me if this is normal. He is a pied ringneck and just turned two in September. He had a healthly diet. Sprouts, veg, fruit, pellets seeds however I noticed his feathers are getting blackish.

How often does your ringneck get a misting shower, light to heavy not an issue, but how often? The goal is at least once a week to as often as a couple of times per day during period of higher temperature.

Darker coloration can be an issue regarding the feathers not reflecting light (color) and as a result we see it as being darker. This commonly occurs as the filaments separate and a shower can help in bring the feather filaments back together.
