btw Kinny, upper respiratory infections are disastrous to birds. One minute they are standing, and you think you have time, the next minute they are gone 
I've seen it time and time again with my gouldian finches. Unless you & the vets catch it in the very beginning, there is not much anyone can do. sometimes there is too much damage done and they are past the point of no return.....no matter how much antibitotics they pour into them.
