Hi, Im new to this group and would like some advice.
I have Smudge a 12 month old (today ) who has started pulling and eating hair in the last 2 days. Nothing has changed , he is healthy and eating everything but the hair thing is new. Even to the extent if I wont let him on my sholder then he starts on the hairs on my arm. PS he loves meats of all typed. Is this ok?

Hi, I think it could be sensible to look at Smudge's diet, is there something missing that is causing this behaviour? Meats - only a little well cooked chicken on occasions.

Just pulling hair can be a good game to them, I hear hubby yelling some mornings when cleaning Plum's cage. Eating hair is not good and he will probably need vet attention for a blockage if this continues.

So to round up, examine his diet and also treat it as unwanted behaviour and return him to his cage.
