For now, the floor. Lol

I could put a towel down or I have a wood pan I could use- but I'm sure my toddler would try to play in it lol right now he doesn't mess with the mess on the floor (he knows to stay out of the bird area)

how did you sanitize the wood, and can you use any type of grape vine wood?


For this play gym, I didn't particularly "sanitize" the wood.... It was in dry storage over the winter and spring, then I cut all the gross stuff off (roots, etc), then power washed and scrubbed with a steel brush then power washed again, sun dried, then put together.

You could also put branches in the trunk of or car on hot days to kill any bugs that might be lurking.

But yes, grape wood -trunks and vines are safe as long as they haven't been sprayed with pesticides or any other chemicals.
