The last three days Buddy has not been his usual self. Every morning when I uncover him we say good morning as usual, but Buddy wants to come out so he comes and sits on my shoulder.
Day 1, he sits on my shoulder, ran down to my coffee cup and took a big swig of coffee, which he immediately spit out, slinging it all over my face. He then preened on my shoulder, chattered, tried to remove my hair clip, pulled my hair, he was happy.
Day 2, he comes out and sits on my shoulder, tries to run into my coffee cup. I tell him no, he doesn't like coffee, remember? I didn't want to wear it again. I heat up sausage balls and the little punk steals a piece so I allowed him. You'd think he was a woman eating chocolate. Mmmmmmm, mmmmmmm, mmmmmm and he wanted more.
Day 3, out he comes again, coffe routine, he behaves, chews on hair clip, pulls hair. I walk into the restroom and turned the light AND hit the switch for the fan. Shower Buddy appears but there is no water. He's. All fluffed out on my shoulder, spreading his wings turning under the nonexistent water that is hitting him. I turn the shower on and set his shower perch up. NO, he will not go on it, gets mad at my hands, runs to my shoulder where he begins his rain dance again. "Buddy, the water is over there, I am not getting in with you." No go, he got frustrated, flies off, goes into the bedroom and HE LANDED ON CANELO!!!!!! Canelo is like 5 minutes slow (what's that on my head?). He turns his head and Buddy slides off landing in front of Canelo, who begins to smell Buddy. to smell Buddy, Canelo has to put his entire face against Buddy, a little panic from Buddy and me. Canelo is between me an Buddy and he's so big when he bends over to smell Buddy he kind of blocks me from Buddy. I grabbed Buddy, he growls and carries a shoe he grabbed next to him on the floor. Canelo was either too slow or just didn't care.
Buddy is back on my shoulder but I'm loving the fact that he is visiting with me these last three mornings. All new behaviors for him but I'm loving it. It's like a whole new level of trust has opened.
For those not familiar with Canelo, this is my little man, lol.
