I use key rings to secure my toys to the cage. I replace all other latches. They are hard to put on the toy and cage. Ut your parrot will be safe. The picture shows the ring and a toy. It holds the toy more secure and stays on the cage. And they are reusable.

I use shower curtain C rings. A box of 20 cost me under 10 bux on Amazon. And they last forever!!
