Ok this might sound like a dumb question..but I was wondering Do quakers breed year round? I have been told they start and stop at certain months along with other types of birds. I am asking because I want to purchase a blue quaker soon but wanted to know if I need to speed things up because my friend said they won't be available after about another month.I do want a baby...

Also does anyone know any good breeders around the Martinsburg, WV area..I got my geen ones from a lady in MD but she doesn't have any more..

In Australia breeders get only up to 2 clutches a season per pair. Sometimes one depending on the weather/circumstances. Yoshi's clutch was the only one that year, and he was weaned and ready two days before Christmas at 12 weeks. The waiting absolutely killed me, but I'm so glad I waited and didn't impulse buy because one 'was available'.

^^ As far as I am aware, I am not a breeder ;)
