Bingo relaxing

I saw Bingo dislodge a tail feather this morning.
He went straight into a meditative scratching.

All I can say is...

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

Tell me parrots are not tool users! Salty uses the edge of his big tubular bell every day, to give himself a good scratchy. Its the first thing he does when i let him out of his cage. Bingo is a smart one alright!

Back before I knew peanuts were bad I would give him 1 or 2.
He rarely ate them but he did like to hold them and use them as a scratching tool.
But…
After scratching for a short time with the unmodified peanut he would bite/crunch one end.
This would cause the peanut shell to crack and splinter leaving that end rougher and sharper for better results scratching.
