Gee - you folks all want to spend/waste $$$!!!. Any macaw or larger will destroy/devour any toy in the few seconds of intense combat. Smaller species of parrot I say not, as I only have macaws.
WOOD is the key - either chips, or small/medium sized twigs of any offcuts of most trees/shrubs. The problem only begins when your bird doesn't know what to do with them, This is because they were weaned away from their parents, who were feed artificial food, developed to replace the native nutrients, and their perches were industrial created /harvested/machined wood. I have a bedroom nearly full of childrens toys obtained from a charity shop at low cost. . . and now after 7 years they have not been touched, Everyday I give my macaws twigs, and clean up the mess after - it helps in alot of ways ie agression, interest and connecting to natures DNA wiring into the birds at birth, All birds have it, in various levels, and once "activated" they all do what nature created them for. Incidentally all my indoor/outdoor perches are tree limbs/branches - the size of them determines where they are located, and the supporting structure that the emenate from, Replacing them is my problem every 2-4 years
