Bob's Red Mill Vegi Soup Mix!!

I had a bag of this in the freezer and was looking at the ingredients and realized this is perfect for birds.

Ingredients: green and yellow split peas, barley, lentil and vegi pasta. There are no seasonings like salt etc in it.

You might want to check it out next time you go food shopping.

i often check out the baby foods for nut, best was some banana biscuits, just juice and whole wheat flour, but i find even some baby foods to have no no's in, such as salt/sugar and some i can't spell!!

That's why I thought this vegi soup mix was perfect..you add the seasonings. I added some tumeric while it's cooking. I only did a cup of the mix right now until I figure out what to add to it that she'll like. I'm getting the Dr. Harvey's veg to bowl at our store so I may add some of that next time to add more veggies since this has lots of peas/beans.

I wonder what other spices I can add..maybe next time a cinnamon stick. Hmmm...

This is a dry mix in a clear plastic bag. I actually got it off of Amazon and split it with my sister. This morning I noticed in the freezer (to preserve it) and looked at the ingredients.
Just heated some up and Purl is lovin it.

I used 1 cup mix to 3 cups water and it came out nice and thick. Not soupy so it's perfect for Purl. I think they recommend, 1 cup and 4 cups water.
