- Two Cockatiels Casper a white face and Floyd a Cinnamon Pearl
The pied mutation can be antidimorphic.... meaning it removes visual cues of the bird's gender.
I have a pied, and a cinnamon pearl pied girls. If you didn't know what to look for, you'd think at least one of them was a male!!! Here's pics of that one!
Thanks for reply, Casper still has some barred gray tail feathers and mostly solid white ones. Is this normal or is he just going threw really late changes. He's 2year old and I think he's still gaining more white. Thanks for your helpThe pied mutation can be antidimorphic.... meaning it removes visual cues of the bird's gender.

Your Cockatiel looks so gorgeous! I am not the best at genetics, so I am really no help there.
Can't you tell if a Cockatiel is split to pearl by ghost pearls along their back?
That's why we suspect Kiko is a Cinnamon mutation split to white face and pearl.
