My cockatiel just finished a 7 day course of Cipro for prevention of aspiration pneumonia.
Iāve noticed that heās been sneezing occasionally since he finished the course of antibiotics.
The vet said that if you are concreted, you can continue the Cipro for another week, but itās also fine to monitor him to see how heās doing. So Iāve been monitoring him.
My question isāwhen is sneezing normal and when is it a problem? Obviously, if he sneezes every hour, then thatās a problem. If he has any sort of discharge, especially colored, then we have a problem.
But how about if he sneezes while preening? Or maybe a couple of times a day while not preening? Isnāt that normal?
Itās just so hard to tell, and I feel Iām psyching myself out and reading too much into things.
Any suggestions?
