just made this tree play-stand for my Conures and Lovebirds. I used Dogwood and Tulip Tree wood from my backyard. first I cut the pieces i wanted of the dogwood that had fallen down a few days ago and I already had some tulip tree wood on a different play-stand that I didn't like so I used some of that. Then I rinsed with a hose and then scrubbed it with eco friendly soap and rinsed repeated that twice. I let it dry in my sunroom. I then cut some pieces of the Tulip Tree wood and screwed a forked piece on to the original one and a little perch on the middle of the forked one. Then I screwed it down to a wood platform with 4 screws, two in the tree at the bottom, one in the wood piece at the bottom, one through the tree and wood piece. I then attaches a rope to it my birds like and next comes some toys onto it! I put a blanket over something so I could get better pics I haven't decided where to put it in the bird-room yet.

cool looks like its gonna be really nice yea I am always making stuff for them cause i have the time and materials and its so much cheaper!

im still in the thinking stages on this one,
but im leaning towards velcro, to attach the side walls.

plexi/lexan walls for the winter.....
screen panels (framed) for summer time.

ive been thinking of a way to put a heating stone in the bottom somewhere, like a reptile rock,

to keep them warm in the winter, an let them get some outdoor time on the porch

tubular heaters work well also they are small and can go anywhere look some up online
