This is just sick: An 18-year-old woman in Carrollton, Texas was arrested for threatening to spread Covid 19, and posted it on Snapchat videos. Upon arrest she stated she does not have the virus. She was released on $20,000 bond and ordered to self-isolate for 21 days.

In order to succeed with our lockdown as other country have. We would also have to test ten times the amount of people we, and contact trace . We are not doing either. Prepare for this to last until we have a vaccine. For it seems America's plan is to let this come in waves. It's a bad plan, it spreads out deaths and hot spots, but it doesn't limit deaths.

It's a plan that trys to limit economic impact, and lesson load in healthcare systems. Sort of balancing act.
I can understand, to a point. But this leads to more risk for American's over a longer period of time. It might look better to see death toll numbers at a steady trickle. But do t be fooled the accumulation of death will be higher, much higher. If truthful deaths tolls are reporting, and it's not mixed with Co morbidly, like saying heart diseases killed them , the virus was just a co factor...

What would be a best response, during our 30 days to slow the spread. Is to throw everything we have at testing, contact tracing and isolate.

All workers in essential sevices like grocery stores, gas station, restaurant workers, delivery service people , should be the focus of early response testing. Abd a huge thanks to those folks! They aren't in healthcare they did not choose this risk!

Glad they are taking action on people like this. I would have her isolate from the general public for a few years.

Last time I checked, the US continues to rapidly expand testing by not only increasing the number of tests available, but also improving the easy of testing and decrease the turn around time. The most resent provides results in about 15 minutes. All the while, another test is being evaluated, which determines if an individual has had the Virus and if so, likely would not get it again. And, just to turn this into a run-on paragraph, There are now 'two' Vaccines already in testing with another three following quickly behind.

Let us remember that we also have a few Drug Therapies that are being used while they are in application testing to expand the use of those existing Drugs! The antidote reports continue to support the use of these 'old' long history of use drugs.

Near every Medial Facility in the US is receiving what they need with daily deliveries. In fact, ventilate(s) are being shifted between such facilities... The shear volume of supplies have come from searching for bits and now checking the shipping dock for todays shipment. As this week continues the volume will only continue to improve. In fact, within the next 15 days, we will likely be shipping to Europe.

To add support to what our Government has been able to expand and complete, one needs to pull out and away from the daily blur of our National News Media and simply compile a list of the truly astonishing distance we have come in such a short time period. Stop and remember that just a few years ago, H1N1 nothing at the government level had been done short of shutting down 4H and County Fairs.

Now, onto the heartbreaking side of all of this, the ever increasing number of deaths. I recall that we had been told that this and likely next week the losses will rip our hearts out. We will surpass the loss of 911 and likely push beyond that number.

To be honest, we as a country need to stop watching CNN and MSNBC, they have gone totally gloom and doom, 24/7, the World is going to end and was all caused by the US Army setting this Virus loose in Wuhan to spread around the World.

2. Doomers - People who are reacting appropriately to a scary thing.

Hey we are are doing great stuff! We are improving! I thi k we are making a difference....but even CDC says publicly, we are not getting all coronavirus deaths counted. New York has said publicly they have about 200 deaths a day happening at homes not count d in their death rolls, nursi and homes are having a hard tim counting deaths to this viris , if death happens before tests. I think it makes it hard to know we're to stand, if you don't have true mortality rates...

I don't watch news, I have an antenna lol , but I read scientific journals a lot.

We still aren't testing enough, I hope we keep ramping it up.

I hear you and see no want to slowdown at the national level, only increase the number of testing available. Very sorry to hear that NE Florida is not actively testing. Our regional hospital system had two testing sites operating the second day they had been made available a full week ahead of State sites in what is now the hot spots in Michigan.

As an FYI, I noted that I had used the New York number of deaths and not the national, which both greatly increased over night and will likely tomorrow.

And again, Thank you for what you have and are doing in keeping us at the front edge.

I'm just frustrated with Florida. We have almost 16,000 cases, non Urban areas have difficulty gettu tests, ( sure true in most states)
We go up by a thousand cases a day or more despite caps in testing , and delayed reporting on tests already done weeks ago.

W hsc more cases in our state than the majority of other countries!

We keep hearing from leaders no worries, we just have more cases because we are doing more tests . . So we have a lot of non compliance to social distancing. We hear a lot of go out , go get the out food, ECT... Yet CDC and national official are saying stay in, skip going for groceries if you can

But we are increase tests, we are trying to stage, we are stocking up on supplies.

It's just Florida the whole state is blowing up. Unlike some states were cases are only big in metro areas......

Social distance is working, I just like Florida to hear more stay in for the rest if the 30 days. More of the only go out for extreme need.

Meanwhile in Washington...although we had the first case (at the hospital in the town where I live) and the first death (at the hospital around the corner from where I work), we must be doing something right. We’ve tested 88,000 people and only have 9100 confirmed cases with 421 deaths. That’s 421 too many, to be sure, but it could be so much worse.

I think we were one of the first states to close our schools, but the governor waited a (relatively) long time to put the stay at home order into effect. I don’t know why we have such comparatively low numbers, except that Seattle is known for the “Seattle freeze” - we just aren’t that friendly and don’t talk to strangers and don’t make eye contact in public so we’ve kind of been social distancing forever. Please note: having lived here all my life, I wasn’t aware that this behavior is unusual and I’m always shocked when I travel [emoji23]

Oh Florida! News said Florida highways the busiest....
I ran to take frozen veggies to elderly parents, got toilet paper in exchange.
Roads busy, passed boat dock busy! Even had a big kayak gruop going out!
Every drive thru food packed, every store packed, every gas station packed.
Florida numbers climbing over 16,500 rest if cases released after 7 pm likely we will be over 1000 added again today....
My zip code , of 40,000 now has 30, 6 in hospital.....all those people at the same stores, more grocery store workers testing positive..

Florida cases no sigh of slowing down, as social distancing not happening around me...
