Zicam is homeopathic medicine, which is to say it's not medicine.....it's not even sugar pills, as sugar at least contributes to your metabolism.

If you look at a bottle and it says homeopathic or 2x {chemical} 10,000x {chemical} it's not actually medicine. Look up homeopathy on youtube....the top three videos should suffice.

I accidentally bought zicam because it was recommended by a storekeeper, it wasn't till I got home I and read the label I realized I bought fake medicine.

And wow, good catch Clark conure. Yeah homeopathy is snake oil. It runs on the belief that water has "memory". It is literally nothing. You could drink the whole bottle and all it would do is make you a bit more hydrated. I didn't know Zicam was one such, I am not familiar with the product.

zicam isn't just homeopathic-- it contains high levels of zinc. It also has worked for me many times and they have conducted clinical trials to verify the claim that it shortens a cold. Now, the nasal spray is less trustworthy as they had to remove the zinc when it turned out that it was calling permanent loss of smell in people.

The Sambucol tablets also seem to work sometimes---even though I don't believe in homeopathy either. They also contain zinc. My mom swears by them and she only recently discovered them, but she has had better luck with them than anything.

Fair enough I just don't want Laurasea to waste money on less than sugar pills. She's my friend.

Zicam does have sciences to back it up. I have used before and it helped me. ( If it's a placebo effect then lol let me keep the comfort of thinking it works!)

And a doctor on the news said nasal gels , and mentioned Zicam by name, do help block viruses, but since s virus can also enter eyes and mouth it won't protect from that

OK fine, so long as you know the homeopathy crap is BS.....Sure eat all the zinc you want.

I was just concerned you were all into that.

I just used them as breath mints when I had normal flu....

I have also read good things about olive leaf extract, oregano oil, lysine, and definitely vitamin D.

One of the realities of Time is that it always marches onward. Not long from now, she will be on the other side of the AGE line and it will be interesting how she views excess older population at that point!

Too much zinc is toxic to your body, tho many people are zinc deficient, so be careful with zinc.

Also please share site that is tracking cases by state with numbers of cases. I cannot find that info. I can only find general over all number if cases and states that have cases but not by number

We have used those in animal medicine, for many years. So I believe that is true !

20% require hospital care, one of our first USA cases in people we brought back from abroad was 35, and developed sever pneumonia required oxygen support, he has recovered out of the his and no longer infected. But please note there are people and young as 20 requiring hospital care and develop pneumonia, they just have a better survival rate.

Wuhan is still under lockdown, as is much of China, they haven't relaxed this yet. Also one of their quarantine hotel collapsed, there are meantioned over 10,000 close contacts of known cases ( but not tested) still being quarantined..not sure if that was just Wuhan or total number in their quarantined camps, as they have previously mention 190,000 in quarantine camps

Also covid-19 hit MN yesterday....I FINALLY GET A CHANCE TO SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE WITH MY FOOD AND WATER RESOURCES! ...actually I'll probably die or be fine but birds get sick, or everyone in area dies and I'm left alone....either way nothing really works out good for me.... Where is the virus that turns regular women into ( typed it out then I thought yeah they might send me another PM if I posted that....) :D at least I learned to self censor....I'm maturing
