Hope you will post a pic of your happy reunion very soon!
I'm praying she's ok too, all my hopes are with you!!She is on her way to the ER. My wife said she is very tired and bobbed her head a couple times. I am trying to find flights back home. i just hope she is okay, it has been a couple days.
She made her way into a office building and was hiding in one of the rooms. The security guard found her during rounds and recognized her from the fliers and he called the animal rescue whom my wife had also notified. The vet said her labs look moderately dehydrated and we have to monitor her, but no signs of bacterial infection so far and no signs of fecal parasites so far. I must have cried for 10 minutes straight. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO POSTED AND KEPT US IN THEIR PRAYERS.What happy news! How and where did you find her?
Your experience reminds me of a story. When I was about 13 years old (a long time ago!) I was swimming in our pool when I saw a scarlet macaw fly onto our roof. I ran into the house and told my father. We couldn’t catch the bird, but he went on a mission to find the owner—-and he succeeded.
Life lesson: Never give up hope! So happy for you.
That is a crazy story! Possibly even stranger than my heat-seeking macaw who flew to a huge parabolic satellite tracking dish in search of warmth! I suppose wayward macaws do not need employee badges or top secret security clearances to enter restricted areas! She made her way into an office building and was hiding in one of the rooms.
