Apparently the shipper wouldn't accept the carrier Yvons was in, so we're trying to ship the bird GAAIN on Tuesday, AFTER the convention. This better be it.. if not, I'm gonna demand a refund.

The convention is in the same city as I am, just by the airport . As for Yvons... he's like... a 2-day, perhaps 3-day drive to my city. He's in Montreal, Quebec, if I remember right. Thus why he's being shipped by plane.

In all my years of shipping birds, I've never had a shipping issue quite like this... **Head desks and nurses a Coca-Cola bottle**

Oh, how I wish I could get out there to see him! And I wish I could drive. I'd drive out there in a heartbeat to pick him up !

I was told he's 17, and his hatch year is on his ring.

That's a good age for both of you. Babies live too long.
He looks like he has most of his feathers and hasn't plucked much. Considering how many people and their parrots have plucking issues regardless of what they do to prevent it it's almost amazing he got to 17 without picking up the habit. Knock on wood!

There's always hope to avoid feather plucking. Nameliss will be 21 yo next week. No plucking yet. But she's doing other frustrating things. Thought Apr photo winner too cute. So started asking her..1, 2, where's your shoe? Then continue the rhyme with nonsense. So Nameliss is now saying over and over 1, 2 then waits for me to respond.
