Theres usually a setting on the T.V so you can make it turn off in X amount of time. If you can find it and set it up so it turns off around the time you fall asleep

Hello everyone! Rhett continues to improve (knock on wood) and is showing lots of new feather growth! He still plucks, some days more and some days less. I learn more about who he is inside every day and adjust accordingly. The Vetericyn seems to sooth his skin and although he doesn't like being sprayed with it, he tolerates it well and doesn't fuss. He really, really likes Gina Giraffe app on my phone and trys to mimic the sounds On a not so happy note, he plucked his longest, prettiest tail feather. Oh well, one day at a time

Thank you Anna! It is yet another great website that I wouldn't have found without you guys. Rhett seems to be getting better about plucking on certain area's of his body and worse/not improving on others. The primaries on the tops of his wings are his biggest target at the moment Generally he doesn't pluck once I get home from work, so the majority of his destruction happens when i'm not here. He has a gazillion toys that he ignores and I don't know how he feels about the t.v. which I leave on for him (although his fetish with Hannibal Lecter movies is strong as ever). Today I went online and bought him 2 parrot movies, one is The parrots of some kind of hill, and the other is called A Place to land. He likes to watch other parrots but we are quickly running out of youtube videos.

My co-workers think i'm crazy.

How cute!! I thought about getting a plucker because I think they're just so cute... Of course I'd rather they not pluck, but it just tugged at my heart and made me want to snuggle all of them I saw. I didn't feel confident that I could do the best for them though, so I didn't take one home. Maybe some day.
