I lost maggie tonight!!

I don't see Maggie in the Parrot 911 database. I was going to send the link to it to a couple of friends/associates that are in that general area but I couldn't get it to pull up for me. Can someone send me the link to that, please.

Actually, I'm not seeing Maggie either. And I searched the database as well. Was she definitely showing up before?

I checked a few sites and was blown away. Do a Google search. Maggie is showing up under a TON of sites . Good job everyone
Still waiting to hear from 911Parrot. Most of the links come from them

lost macaw San Antonio Texas Maggie

Two weeks and one day. It's rained all weekend. Still nothing.

I remember when Trish (Betrisher) had lost her beloved Barney. There were rains and heavy storms. He was gone for weeks. Then she was contacted by a wonderful person who had him. If memory serves me correctly, she'd actually rescued him from someone else because she was capable of providing better care. And then she finally got wind of Trish's story.

She reached out and they connected, and lo and behold, there was Barney! Trish proved he was her bird by having him do a certain trick for her, and then they were reunited.

I know you likely read that story back when it happened, as so many of us were supporting Trish during a time when all seemed lost. But I'm reminding you of that story so that you remember that this kind of stuff happens. There really are good people out there who will look out for your bird. Good people who may not yet have learned of your search for sweet Maggie.

I know you know all this. Heck, you've been through it before with Tusk. But when you're going through it, sometimes it's hard to remember what you know.

I believe she's safe, Mark. And I believe you'll both be reunited. There are still good people out there. And I believe she's found one. It's just a matter of waiting for that good person to find you.

I'm with Stephen - a bird like Maggie is probably with someone at this point. While I know you probably search CL all the time at the moment, I did notice there was a post "Adult Macaw Wanted". I don't know if that was yours or not, but I thought I'd bring it up in case it wasn't.
I have my fingers crossed for you and I'm anxiously waiting for that reunited announcement!

I have no doubt that someone has got her.

What I doubt is that they intend to give her back at this point.

I seriously doubt they will take care of her the way I did... and that hurts!

And I know for a fact, that they do not love her as much as Sarah and I do...

I have been following this since it started. Just registered, to post this. I don't know the cost, but what about a billboard, with Maggie's beautiful pic, for everyone going down the road to see. Also, what about your local radio stations, maybe they would be willing to let everyone know about her. Also, what about handing out flyers at the flea market? We have a lot of backyard breeders here in FL, maybe someone has seen her, or knows something. Also, this so called stalker you have, always taking pictures of you and Maggie when you go out. They must really know your schedule. Not saying they did anything bad, just thinking of being in the right place at the right time. I imagine they have watched you and Maggie interacting a lot. Just some things to think about. Prayers going up for both you and Maggie, that she be found safe and sound.

A billboard probably would not be cost effective, nor would it guarantee that the person who has her saw it. Or would react if they did.

I've contacted the local radio and tv stations. No interest in running the story apparently. I really think the publicity from that would do it though. SOMEONE knows who has her.

I've already done all the local flea markets. I've got eyes there.

No, the "Stalker" was a bit of a joke, it's a friend of a friend from work who was fascinated by "the bird guy," and took pictures when she saw me out with Maggie. Turns out my co-worker knows her fairly well... she's the one who sent me the pictures.

Thanks for thinking of us though.

I will just have to put my thinking cap back on. I wonder if the radio stations are on Facebook, and if everyone posted about her, they would say something about her missing. Just a thought. Hard to ignore, their Facebook feed full of Maggie's flyer, with the information on it.

I think you're right that someone has her. I was hoping that you'd get a call once they figured out how to search for the missing owner, but that doesn't look like its happening....meaning they hope to keep her.

Keep in mind tho, this person is thinking, "hey I found this amazing 3 foot tall fire engine red cool ass bird, this is going to be fun...."

Fast forward 1-2 weeks. Now he/she is thinking, "Hey, is this bird always going to poop so much and make so much noise?"

and finally, "this is way more work that I expected, time to go collect that reward"

Its really no different than probably 1/3 of how all impulse parrot purchases go......

( I guess what I'm saying is I would expect a call from 2-3 weeks out from a person who just happened to find her)

THAT IS ACTUALLY WHAT I AM BANKING ON...

Maggie in a cage, getting mad and throwing tantrums...

Maggie, not liking the crappy food and dumping her dishes...

Maggie, getting angry and pinching the crap outta someone....

Maggie, with no toys to play with, takes out a windowsill, or a door frame...

$1000 reward to take the problem off your hands looks pretty good at that point.

Just a thought, we've all heard of crowd funding, well how about that same concept to help Birdman666 get his baby back.

Those of us who can and choose to, offer money to the cause for a reward, that way if he feels the need to up the anti significantly we can all help.

I'd gladly offer 25-50$ for the cause, if 20 of us did that he can make the reward too good to pass up (not suggesting he hasn't).

I know I would love such help if I had to pay to get my own bird back.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm not taking any money from anyone unless I absolutely have to...

PUBLICITY IS MORE VALUABLE THAN ANYTHING AT THE MOMENT!!!

Someone contacted you? Are they sure about their dates? After everyone looking I don't recall anyone seeing any other posts regarding a lost greenwing in your area. They are not just trying to throw you off? Did you get to see it? Sorry, but even though there is a lot of good people in the world, there are just as many conniving ones.

Mom to Charlie and Milo

They were trying to give this bird back to me. Sans reward. But it wasn't my bird. Cool people!

i put this link in another thread. This site does amazing work every loose a bird they are the ones to call for help
it is kinda scary when you see how many birds are in this data base

lost birds - 911 parrot alert

it's a hundred times as scary when one of them is yours...

A breeder in Texas had her aviary hit by severe weather tonight. I posted it.

Imagine your whole flock gets loose when it's tornadoing outside!!!

Oh Mark, I was so hoping for a congratulations party to welcome Maggie home by now! I know that day is going to happen for all the reasons listed above! Parrots have wonderful ways of making their feelings known. Maggie loves you and Sarah as much as you love her, I think she will make it clear to whoever has her that she has a home, she just needs to get back to it.
