So I had a rather surreal experience this weekend with having rescued a love bird and then the tragic loss of the bird. Obviously the bird was somebody's pet and after doing my due diligence and contacting various vets in the area I came up blank. Now, with that said, I have already gone ahead and had my birds insured for health insurance. I am wondering is it worthwhile getting them microchipped. Neither bird has any interest in harness training. One has a breeders leg band the other nothing. Has anyone gotten their bird microchipped?
