I did not plan on this today it just sort of happened.

I have wanted to switch cages between Bingo and Luna/Merlin for quit a while.
Don't know if this is going to last but they have been doing well for the last 6 hours.

Here is a short vid of Merlin finding nothing wrong about making use of the facilities.

Looks like killing blows there Merlin!

Surprised by Bingo's reserved-self watching on. Was that toy that Merlin in beating-up on one of Bingo's?

So far I have not moved any of the toys. All the big birds have one of those rubber balls in there cage and Merlin treats his ball with the same enthusiasm.

If it looks like I can keep them in place I will probably move the big new toy in with Merlin. So far Bingo has shown little interest in it.

Bingo doesn’t quite know what to do with the “second room” of his new arrrangment .

I had to switch them back to there original cages last night.
As it was getting dark the twins became....Uncomfortable in the new cage.

Both birds wanted to sit in the same place and whichever bird was not able to get the preferred perch looked like he/she wanted to flight out of the cage right through the bars.

This experiment lasted longer than any in the past, nearly 12 hours. That doubles the previous record of around 6 hours.
The double cage arrangement has worked out well for the twins so far and it's not a problem to continue to use it.

I also rearranged the food bowls for the twins cage. I had originally had food dishes in separate cages but Merlin liked to carry (badly) his food over and eat it next to Luna.
Now food dishes are in the same cage and next to each other. We shall see how that works out.
