I am a Freshman in HS...15 and 16 on Dec 1st also
....cant wait lol. Sadie was in a home I beleive in the cities...idk the owners name so we will say Bob so it doesnt make her story so confusing.
Bob didnt beleive in cages so he let his birds fly loose (all 10 parrots) so as you can imagine his house was ripped to shreds. Well the ppl that I bought Sadie from were Pam and Dale Bever from south of the cities (MN)....not sure of the town. But they found Bob's add on the net of all these birds so they went to check it out. When they got there all of his birds were flying and screeching...never been handled they "saved" Sadie from this home which took them 4 yrs to get Sadie tame enough to pet her and walk on the ground without falling.
I was looking around on twincities.com and came upon her ad which they had just posted as it ran out. We called and asked for her price and what not to make sure she was going to a good home as they no longer had room for her from there move. They told us originally 500 for cage and everything but after hearing my ex. with animals they told us they only wanted $100 for everything. So they dropped her off and it took about 2 weeks for me to get her to step up, walk he stairs, and ride on my shoulder.
We told Pam and Dale that they could come and visit her as often as they'd like as I know how hard it is to get rid of a bird that's loved so much. When they came we had sadie walk up the stairs to them and step up onto Pam's arm. She was SOOO happy for Sadie. That was the first time Pam and Dale ever got to hold her and pet her out of the cage in the 4 yrs that they had her
Thats bout it...hope that wasnt to confusing. But Sadie's come along way she now goes with us on our family walks during the summer...she doesnt like to shoulder ride she would much rather run along on the pavement and grass.
