Yosun & Mercan
Hello. I was unlucky breeder. My first lovebirds are female. Yosun and Yonca. I rehome Yonca and I adopt Mercan. Mercan is male. Yosun laid 4 egg and all of the eggs instamined. But only one baby comes but they don't feed baby.

I feed baby but it was dead.

Later Yosun was ill. She lost her fur. Her legs was very bad and injured. I took her vet. Vet apply different five cure but she was dead.

I was very upset. Later I bought Yosun2. Yosun2 laid 6 egg and all of the eggs be instemined. But they didnt incubate.

Yes I know. I am very unluck but I am very mule too.

And then they have 4 egg and 2 baby comes. 2 baby grew up. I rehome them.

Now they have 5 baby. Babies grows up :)

Birdie, my Lutino lovebird.
I'm sorry for your losses. I can tell you loved them and took care of them all.

The lovebird babies are so adorable! I especially like the one where one of the young ones is perched on your finger. So cute, thank you for sharing. :)

What concerns me is when you lost Yosun1. I would highly suggest you to have your existing birds tested for psittacosis!!! And don't over feed on sunflower seeds as I see you have them fully stocked with sunflower seeds.

Thanks for your message and your advice. But I learn why did yosun dead :(

I used dusting powder. That was a chemical. That made allergy to yosun. Vets and I ,all of us. We didn't think that. Vets analyse bacteries and virus. But they didnt find anything. Unfortunately I was late. And yosun was dead.

Sunflower seed are natural. they don't roast. And they come to me from our field in our village.

Unfortunately, natural or not, parrots simply do not do well with too many sunflower seeds...it's a bit like a human eating too much chocolate. You don't need to remove the seeds entirely, but it would be a good idea to reduce their quantity in the bird's diet.
