I have a Yellow Crown Amazon named Rocky and he is the love of my life , they are very entertaining birds for sure and sometimes moody but easy to get attached to any kind of amazon

Getting attached, that's an understatement.
I knew I would love and care for Bosley, but I am amazed at how deep he worked his way into my heart.
One of the best purchases I made when I first got Bosley was a training stand on wheels. If your new amazon doesn't want to step up or be handled right away it's a great thing to have and lets you bring him into other rooms. Bosley now steps up and also flies to me, but he still loves his perch and we use it everyday.

Congrats! Sounds like this is a match made in heaven. My dad is like that - birds just take to him - we call him the bird whisperer. I think that's so special. Lucky bird to have someone with lots of time to spend with him.
