Khloe has her days when she wants to test me on coming out. If i ask and she walks away i just get the others out and give them their food. Then about 5 mins i ask again. 75% of the time she comes running to me if not i get the peanut. She must step up and be gotten out of the cage to get it. Khloe doesn't bite i learned how to read her body lang. and can redirect her when she is in that mood. I never just open the cage door and let the birds decide on when to come out. They must step up and be placed on the playtops/stands then can do as they wish. Find your birds favorit treat and use it only when you are working with her. small steps with rewards often. You might think about training your cat as well as the bird. I have a cat that is my cockatoos best friend. She sleeps near or under her "playstand" most of the day. I still keep a close eye on them but the cat grew up with the bird setting on her when she was just 4 weeks old. I just adopted a new cat 2 days ago and she is already learning when the birds are out she has to ignore them or stay out. With a little work it will make it safer for your bird.
