What silly nicknames do you name your critters? Redshift, my cockatiel, is 'Booger Bird' and Charlie, my conure, is 'Buzzsaw ' because of his habit of mowing through paper he's allowed to chew, LOL.

Great thread! It always amuses me how the nicknames I come up with are so much longer than their real names.

My GCC, Jax, is GreenGreen or Mr, Green Jeans.

All the rest I can think of are pretty boring and unimaginative.

Haha, I do the same thing when they're naughty!
Talli's whole name is Metallica, and I can't believe that the other birds haven't picked that up, I bet I end up saying it 5 times a day at least.

My birds' nicknames may not be funny because I speak to them in English. But I'll try to translate them (some of them I've already written but here are some old and new ones)

Zenek:
- Huligan (hooligan, not used any longer)
- Gałgan (togs)
- Dewastator (devastator)
- Zenobiusz (rather not used any longer)
- Srajdupa (shit-butt?)
*- Zen (only sometimes on PF)

Rozalka:
- małpa (monkey)

Angela:
- niebieska (blue, only sometimes used)

Bourkes (all their flock):
- różowe (pinks)

All flock:
- pierzaste (feathered ones)

Oh no, most nikcknames seem to be negative
These aren't nicknames but for non-Polish speakers other name variations aren't obvious (I use them too. most of them are positive so I don't always use such words ):
Zenek --> Zenuś
Rozalka --> Rozalcia
Jaś --> Jasio, Jasiek
Fela --> Felcia

My cousin called her bird „lil pooper scooper“ because she would clean the poop off her branches

‘Danger Floof’ (most common)
‘Munchkin-munchkin!’ (Has to be in a sing-song voice)
‘Bongo-Bubble’
‘Borb Adorb’
‘Le Floof’ (i used to call my first parrot this so often, it’s habit whenever I address any bird now )

…writing this has made me realize how much I just smash a lot of words together when I babble nicknames at her sometimes, oh boy.

Echo, a green Indian Ringneck baby:
‘Angry Avacado’
‘Happy Mango’
‘Happy Pear’
‘Sweet Potatoe’
‘Mando-bird’ (because his head looks like a Mandalorian helmet when he looks directly at us with his beak and we’re a house of starwars nerds)
I say ‘baby boy’ often enough he probably thinks that’s a nickname, too.

His nickname is pretty much tied to whatever posture I see him in. He does the cutest ‘Potato-plop’ when he sits.
