He speaks his name so clearly. Sometimes when he says sentences I feel a little weird because it’s so clear. I know birds just mimic, but it’s still strange walking by a parrots cage who asks you how you are doing

My husband has decided that Nico needs to be in bed by 8pm. He said he’s been hearing Nico awake and eating his pellets at 6am. We were keeping him awake until about 10pm. He would usually hang out with me all evening. Most of the time he’d just sit on his stand, and watch what’s going on. Other times he’d jump down, and want to be held. I miss the little green monster. I feel lost without him in the evening.

Nico is helping make Super Bowl food. I made deviled eggs. I just gave him his own plain egg (one of his favorite foods that he rarely gets). Otherwise he would never leave the other eggs alone.

Nico is taking a vacation in AZ. He never destroys anything, or plays with toys really. Well… he changed his mind today he doesn’t look sorry

Yesterday I was test driving cars. I wasn’t home a lot. Nico is upset today! He is letting me know I didn’t give him enough attention yesterday. He really doesn’t look sorry about his screams either

Nico has a yellow feather now. I see a few more growing in. Apparently my conures won’t be the only ones with yellow feathers.

We are trying a new food for Nico. Wish me luck! Usually new things are a no go regardless of what it is. This food says it’s specifically for Ekkie’s. I listed it below encase anyone has had experience with it, and has suggestions because more than likely Nico will reject it.

This Ekkie is spoiled rotten. I use a slap chopper just to get his peppers perfect. If I get lazy, and just chop up the peppers with a knife the peppers get flung everywhere. I cut up bananas & mangos. He spits them out on the counter, and then steps in it. Nico isn’t done yet… then he walks all over the counter with his sticky claws! Why?!? Just why?!?
