So first thing in the morning (6am Mon-Fri & before 8am on wknds) I feed my guys veggie chop or vegetable fruit mash along with pellets on the side. By around midday or so it gets switched to pellet/seed mixture.
As a general rule once I put them to bed in the evening the only thing I'm leaving in the cage is water. What do you guys leave in the cage at night??

I leave pellets 24/7. Timing the amount so dish needs washing every 3 days. I have a just before and after lights out eater. Been that way forever. She nibbles until chop. Ignoring pellets until chop gone or ignored. Nibbles pellets until near lights out. Heavy eating again. Avian vet said fine. In wid bird will fill up at sunset and look for food sunrise. That's het schedule. She does rush the chop.

We leave the pellets overnight and take them out at the next morning's breakfast. Some of our birds go hard at meals and some are grazers, so that seems to work better for everyone.
