Here are some thing I do to my Chop.
I frezze my chop in glass containers, that seal really well.
A container will last up two three days for my flock of four.
I pull it from the freezer. Put it in the fridge. What I do is make a mixture of Brown Jasmine rice, Barley, and Oat Groats. I boil them for about 20 minutes. I run cold water over them and let them soak for about 10 minutes, since the chop has just come out of the fridge. Mixing the chop with the grain mixture. It will cool off the mixture even more. That's one way.
Another way is i sprinkle a little cockatiel seed mix in with my cockatiels meal.
I also will make sprouts up, I make sure the sprouts have a little tail showing. I put a 50/50 mixture of sprouts and chop.
Another way is I cook up a sweet potato. And mash it up so it's smooth and creamy. And mix it together. I do 30% sweet potatoes and 70% Chop.
For the final thing I cook up 8 bean soup. I will mix that up with chop.
One meal is chop with mixes.
One other thing I add just twice a week about three days apart is I put a multivitamin power. Now the direction say a scoop per parrot. But what I do is I put the plain chop on a plate mash the chop down and sprinkle the vitamin power over the chop. I only use just 1 1/2 scoops. Just enough to give them a little extra.
The other meal is pellets. I feed Tops mini matanice pellets. To my conures and Indian ringneck. I give roudybush nibles to my cockatiel (he loves them). On thing I do is I switch up the meals pellets in the morning next day chop in the morning. And the of course throughout the day treats. I have three that eat bits of almonds or hulled sunflower seeds. Cash my cinnamon conure only likes millet spray. If I offer him a sunflower seed he stays back away and looks at me. As soon as I pull a bud off the millet.he runs right over.
That is my feeding menu
.
I have tried fruit but they are not ready yet.
