I have all three but the Guinea Fowls are the most trouble makers it it because I have only three Guinea boys?I absolutely love guinea fowl. And peafowl.
I found my biggest problems during breeding season was coyotes. School buses however caused the most loss to my flock.
I don't have any now but yall got me thinking about trying again.
And best ever "watch dogs" both guinea and peafowl. Next best .....Geese
It’s a good thing I live in the city. Otherwise, I have a suspicion I’d have ducks and Button quail all over the place.I have chickens, ducks, and quail, and currently two guineas ( a pair) that I am hoping to rehome to my Guinea loving aunt and uncle because they are trouble makers! Soooo loud all the time! I really would not recommend for anyone with nearby neighbors. They also fly very well, over fences, into trees etc. my two flew right through a glass window in the coop!
My chickens I love! Have forty something right now and we’re overrun with eggs! The quail are flighty but adorable and the ducks are like their own little gang; totally lawless but hilarious. Birman14, what kind of poultry do you raise? Would love to hear about them!
I’ve heard of people keeping quail in apartments… just sayingIt’s a good thing I live in the city. Otherwise, I have a suspicion I’d have ducks and Button quail all over the place.![]()
I actually am very fortunate to have a decent sized yard/garden…but the city has lots of regulations around keeping poultry. The button quail are so tempting though…they’re so dang cute!I’ve heard of people keeping quail in apartments… just saying
I think it was button quail who used to be kept in the bottom of bird cages by bird fanciers/ breeders to eat all the spilled seed that the birds knocked out of their dishes!
