Quaker quirks?

Snagged a couple, not great but maybe gives a better idea. You can see the extra toe in the first picture, and how twisted the outside right (left here) toe is twisted inwards. It’s sometimes does go backwards and grab the perch. The extra toe is entirely nonfunctional as far as I can tell.

I am wondering if there was some interference with the foot limb bud early in development. In that case, it might not be genetic at all. But I have seen before toe problems in color mutation pet birds.

It doesn’t matter anyhow. That is a lovely baby boy.

Loving all the Nico pics so far, Ziel! That is indeed one beautiful baby

Oh, interesting. That would comfort me if that’s the case, lol. That would make sense, I’ve just never heard of it.

Nope, he’s perching and moving around just fine. Thank you so much 😊

Glad he is settling in look at his gorgeous cage too

He’s already saying Hi, Whatcha doing, Good boy, and possibly a couple colorful words, courtesy of my father lol. He also shakes his head no!

I made him an Instagram if you’re interested in it! @fivetoenico
