I am wondering if there was some interference with the foot limb bud early in development. In that case, it might not be genetic at all. But I have seen before toe problems in color mutation pet birds.Snagged a couple, not great but maybe gives a better idea. You can see the extra toe in the first picture, and how twisted the outside right (left here) toe is twisted inwards. Itās sometimes does go backwards and grab the perch. The extra toe is entirely nonfunctional as far as I can tell.

It doesnāt matter anyhow. That is a lovely baby boy.
