I might just be having a brain dead moment, but is reverse cycle air con units safe to use? Mainly the heating part of it, it's getting pretty chilly!!!

The reverse cycle of an air conditioning system (heat pump) is merely that the heat from the refrigeration cycle is reclaimed for use as heat...and...yes it is safe.....the only thing is that if you have not had the system serviced, you might want to turn it on on a nice day that you can keep the windows open, to burn off any dust that may have accumulated on the backup/emergency heating coils.....other than that you should be good to go, though an annual system checkup is often worth the expense on older systems.....

Thank you, it's a fairly new system and has been used a lot, I've just moved back home.
